The Magellan™ safety needle is designed with needle-based safety engineering control that promotes clinical flexibility. Its intuitive, easy one-handed safety activation is designed to minimizes training and in-service needs. The needle is an ultra-sharp, tri-beveled, anti-coring needle that minimizes trauma to muscle tissue for smooth delivery of medications. The self-levelling needle sheath allows for easy one handed scoop re-capping method, the only acceptable OSHA approved recapping method. The Magellan™ safety needle has a robust safety shield that covers the entire cannula which maximizes protection from sharps injury. Integral safety shield eliminates the ability to remove the safety device.
